A major collaboration between CPO, Dandenong Ranges Orchestra and local choirs Cranbourne Chorale, Singularity Choir and Beaconhills Choir playing to a near sell out at Bunjil Place. Also featuring soloists Sarah Prestwidge, Lucas de Jong and Hamish Gould. In addition to Carl Orff’’s magnificent cantata, bookended by the oft used O Fortuna, the performance included an Aria from Handel’s Julius Caesar, Largo al Factotum from Rossini’s Barber of Seville, Mein Herr Marquis from Johann Stauss’s Die Fledermaus and a delightful rendition of the famous Doll Aria from Offenbach’s Tales of Hoffman.
This proved to be the orchestra’s last performance for 18 months for reasons most of would rather forget.
If anyone has any photos from this concert, could they please send to the CPO email, as for such a major show the webmaster has only seen one picture!
