The Casey Philharmonic Orchestra was formed in 2017 with the aim of both enriching the cultural landscape of the local municipality and providing local professionals and aspiring amateurs opportunities to practise and further develop their art.

Join the Casey Philharmonic Orchestra for an evening of fun as we dive in to the immersive scores behind fan favourites such as The Legend of Zelda, Final Fantasy, Hollow Knight, Undertale, and many more.

PAX Bus Ride Ticket Upgrade
For those attending the PAX Gaming Festival, you can now catch a return bus from PAX to Bunjil Place to attend the performance. The Bus Ride Upgrade ticket includes the return bus trip and complimentary showbag! To purchase Bus Ride Upgrade tickets, select your seats and choose the Return Bus Trip price types.
The bus departs at 6.00 pm at the pick up point on Clarendon St Service Rd (see map below), and will return to the same location at approximately 10:30 pm.

Casey Philharmonic Youth Orchestra
Rehearsals Friday 7:00pm - 9:00pm
We have launched an exciting new Youth Orchestra. If you are a young musician aged 12 to 25, this new orchestra is for you.
Under the expert guidance of Music Director Peter Casey AM (West Australian, Adelaide and Queensland Symphony Orchestras), you will work on a wide range of repertoire from the classical to modern genres.
Workshop with world class musicians and perform at venues such as Bunjil Place, this orchestra has everything to offer young musicians wishing to develop their musical abilities and gain experience in a large orchestral ensemble.

Composers Competition
An open competition for local composers to write new orchestral music for CPO. Up to five finalists will have their compositons judged in open CPO rehearsals on November the 26th. Three winners will have their compositons performed in CPO’s 2027 program, one per concert listed below – and go on our list for potential future commissions.
Prize money:
First place $750
Second $500
Third $250
Key Dates:
21st September midnight – Submissions close.
16th November – Finalists notfied.
26th November - Judging via Open Rehearsal – entrants must be available to attend.
