Ben Gibson

Ben Gibson is a Naarm/Melbourne based Violinist and Violist who has been involved in many projects around Melbourne and even in regional Victoria. Ben started violin at the age of 9 and graduated this year with a Bachelor of Music from the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music studying under Roy Theaker.

Many of his achievements include forming the Hustle Quartet, performing Mendelssohn’s Violin Concert as a soloist for the EMS Orchestra (under the baton of David Reichman), and holding the role of Principal of the Viola section at EMS and Concertmaster for Casey Philharmonic Orchestra.

Ben has had the opportunity to work with many conductors based around Melbourne in a whole range of styles from Ingrid Martin and Richard Davis with classical and contemporary styles to Kent Ross and Raymond Lawrence with musical theatre, film score and Opera.
