2026 Orchestral and Choral Youth Intensive
We invite all orchestral musicians and choristers between the ages of 12 and 25 years to join us for this unique opportunity to discover your full musical potential in a fun and engaging environment. With expert tuition provided by musicians from the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra plus many other music educators. Featuring Orchestra Director Peter Casey and Choral Director Rosie O'Reilly.

Orchestral Director
Peter Casey AM
Big Ideas, Real Impact.
Peter Casey is one of Australia’s most versatile Musical Directors, having established a career spanning the genres of musical theatre, arena presentations, symphonic concerts, orchestration, television and recording.
Peter has been Guest Conductor and Orchestrator for the West Australian Symphony, Adelaide Symphony and Queensland Symphony Orchestras.
Peter received Green Room Awards for the 2004 production of The Producers and the 2014 production of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. He has also received Green Room Award nominations for Sunset Boulevard, Mame, Monty Python’s Spamalot, Annie The Musical, The King and I and Anything Goes, and Helpmann Award nominations for The Producers and Company.
Choral Director
Rosie O'Reilly
Rosie O'Reilly is a passionate choral singer, conductor, composer and music educator. She holds a Bachelor of Music Education from the Elder Conservatorium of Music at the University of Adelaide, and gained an honours degree from the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music in 2022. Rosie has taught music in schools in South Australia, Victoria and the UK, and coordinated education programs with Melbourne Chamber Orchestra. She spent ten years as the Assistant Conductor of MiniM Choir in Adelaide, has tutored with The Yarra Voices, and is currently studying for the Australian Kodaly Certificate.
Rosie has many years' experience as a choral singer, including Australian and international tours; she currently sings with The Australian Voices, Choral Edge, Alta Collective and The Old Cathedral Voices at St James' Old Cathedral.

We are excited to announce that the 2026 Youth Intensive will be held at Bunjil Place.
Bunjil Place is the premier multi-disciplinary Arts and Entertainment venue located in Melbourne’s South-East. It is a creative hub, community meeting place, library, performance theatre, exhibition space, and service center. The facility was officially opened in 2017 and is known for bringing together creativity, entertainment, and community in a unique way.
Bunjil Place is the home of the Casey Philharmonic Orchestra and we regularly collaborate with Bunjil in the presentation of various concerts and events.
